This product is part of the KlickFix System where products can interchangably be removed and replaced with others by way of an adapter.
Therefore, to use this product, you must purchase either an adapter or seat post extender adapter (or both if you wish) if you don't already have one.
Some products are made specifically for either the handlebar adapters or the seat post extender adapters as noted in the product description.

This version includes a lock for increased security.

SEAT POST EXTENDER ADAPTER
With the Seat Post Extender Adapter, you can use all of the KLICKfix products on your seat posts.
Great especially for backpacks but also for bags and baskets. Easy mounting with stainless strap for 25-32mm seat posts.
